Extensions can shed like human hair, except, of course, the hair won't grow back. This means that over time they can get thinner and thinner, which ruins the look of them.

So you should brush them carefully, starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots; the same goes for bonded extensions. 

Be gentle but firm. If you are brushing them when they are in, make sure to hold them with one hand to avoid tugging them out. 

Tip 4: Minimise Heat Damage

Synthetic hair cannot be heat styled as stated above, but human hair extensions can. 

However, like human hair, there is the possibility of heat damage. 

This is why you should use a heat protectant spray on the extensions and try to style them on the lowest possible heat setting.
